REGISTRATION
To earn CME credit, an initial one-time registration must be completed.  To earn credit for each subsequent case, you will simply need to log in with your username and password established during registration.  Registration and CME credit is free.

DESCRIPTION
This online activity will educate the audience in the field of medicine that changes with frequency and velocity of infectious diseases including emerging diseases, evolving resistance, new antibiotics and epidemics.  The case conference is our showcase to present updated information in a spontaneous, authoritative fashion.  It merges Hopkins experts in global health, lab medicine, infection control, HIV, TB, tropical medicine and antibiotic use.  

TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for infectious disease faculty and fellows and other allied health professionals who are interested in infectious disease.

OBJECTIVES
Following this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Incorporate knowledge gained into clinical practice
  • Discuss clinical strategies to optimize treatment of patients with infectious diseases
  • Recognize new developments in the field
  • Evaluate effectiveness of institutional resources and policies for diagnostic testing and treatments and control of infectious diseases
  • Recognize national and international epidemics

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) per session.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION
This activity should take approximately one hour to complete.  The participant should review the objectives and presentation, answer the multiple-choice post-test and complete an evaluation form online.  A score of at least 70% is required to successfully complete the program.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
To receive credit, please complete the online post-test and evaluation.  Passing score is required to obtain a certificate of attendance.
